Terms of service
The ground rules for using SchoolDuty — accounts, roles, content, and the AI assistant. This page is a plain-language summary, not legal advice; your institution may also have its own agreement with us.

01Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using SchoolDuty on behalf of an institution, you agree to these terms. If you use the service as a teacher, student, parent, or administrator, your institution’s owner and admins are responsible for your membership and for how the service is configured for you.
02Accounts and roles
Accounts are personal: keep your sign-in credentials private and use accurate profile information. Owners and admins manage invitations, roles, courses, classes, materials, verified parent–student links, fee settings, and institution analytics for their organisation. Teachers, students, and parents participate only within the scope their institution gives them. A parent must be authorised to provide a child’s details and may not share a child’s login.
03Acceptable use
Use SchoolDuty for legitimate teaching and learning. Do not upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing material; do not probe, disrupt, or overload the service; do not attempt to access another organisation’s data; and do not use the assistant to generate or distribute content that is inappropriate for a school setting.
04Your content and materials
Institutions and their members keep ownership of the courses, materials, and other content they add. You grant SchoolDuty the limited rights needed to host, process, and display that content so the service can operate — including making course materials available to the AI assistant for grounding answers within your organisation, and showing authorised staff the grades, assignments, achievements, and aggregated analytics their role permits. Direct and group messages and Lexi chat turns are end-to-end encrypted: neither SchoolDuty nor your institution's owners and admins can read, moderate, export, or restore that content, and a lost recovery code means that history is gone for good. Institutions that must retain or supervise member communications should not rely on the messenger or Lexi history for that purpose.
05Institution fees and payments
When enabled, the institution—not SchoolDuty—is the merchant of record and is responsible for the fee, invoice details, configured taxes, refunds, disputes, and compliance with applicable law. Payments are processed on the institution’s connected Stripe account. SchoolDuty does not calculate tax liability or remit tax and does not take a per-payment commission. A Checkout return page is not proof of payment; payment status is confirmed from Stripe. Refund eligibility follows the institution’s displayed policy and mandatory law.
06AI assistant
The assistant answers using the materials and context your institution provides, but AI-generated content can be incomplete or wrong. Treat answers as study support, not authoritative truth: verify important information, and do not rely on the assistant for grading decisions, safety-critical guidance, or personal data about other people.
07Service availability and changes
We work to keep SchoolDuty reliable, but the service is provided “as is” and may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued over time. Features evolve as the product matures; material changes to these terms will be reflected on this page.
08Suspension and termination
Owners and admins can remove members, and owners can delete the organisation and its data from the product. We may suspend access that violates these terms or puts the service or other institutions at risk. You can stop using SchoolDuty at any time through your account or your administrator.
09Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, SchoolDuty is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, for lost data caused by factors outside our control, or for decisions made based on assistant output. Nothing here limits rights you hold under mandatory consumer or data-protection law.
10Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product evolves; the current version always lives on this page. Questions about these terms, your institution’s agreement, a data-processing agreement (DPA), or how the service works can be directed to your school administrator or to arkasar@teiemt.gr.
